High-achieving leaders understand the similarities between the
“head game” in sports and the mental strength crucial for business

In spite of the best training, education and experience “your head game” is what can keep the championship trophy out of your hands. An individual’s body and brain have a major impact on performance; this critical connection is what led to the creation of Optimal Edge Performance. Whether it is resilience, a lack of collaboration, an inability to focus, impulsivity, or other challenges impacted by cognitive imbalances; Optimal Edge Performance fills the needs of top organizations and their leaders.

Our Mission

Optimal Edge Performance is on a mission to improve the lives of the people it touches through consulting and coaching.

OEP utilizes neuroscience to be an impetus for the high performance, engagement and happiness of the individuals and organizations we work with. We are dedicated to consulting and coaching based on the unique brains of our clients, so they can achieve their personal peak performance, whatever that looks like to them.

Our Ultimate Mission is to Save Lives

We work tirelessly to help our human clients which then gives us the opportunity to save and enhance animal lives with a portion of our profits. This can be rebuilding rainforests, saving animal lives through shelters, and contributing to organizations that train animals to help humans.

Some of the organizations we currently support include Canine Companions for Independence, Pet Partners, The Humane Society, and Orangutan Foundation International.

Debbie Vyskocil, President of OEP,  trained with coaches who focus on the “head game” for Olympiads and World Cup champions. During her consulting with high-performing business leaders, she noticed the factors crucial to the mental performance in sports are the same as in the board room such as focus, resilience and discipline.

And Optimal Edge Performance was born. We leverage our expertise in neuroscience to coach clients to reach peak levels of achievement. Focusing on productivity and creativity is critical to understanding how neuroscience can enhance performance for leadership and their teams.

Debbie’s background in electrical engineering, psychology, neuroscience and a board certification by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance lead her to work with some of the business world’s highest performers. Debbie shares her expertise as a TEDx speaker, from international stages and as a writer for national publications such as the Naval Institute publication, Proceedings, Medium and Thrive Global.
